Thinking about new handgun purchase.

Wasn’t Maine one of the states where you could still own a firearm if you were convicted of a Fellony? Certain amount of time with no additional convictions?

maybe it was Vermont or something

I'm unsure of the specifics but yeah, a felon can appeal to have their right to own a firearm restored up here.

The guy in Maine "heard voices". Funny how the voices always tell these clowns to do something bad, never something good. That's why I think a lot of mental health "problems" are justifications for bad behavior.

Guess you really wouldn't hear about it if it was the other way around.

Don't normally get interrogated about your reasons if you are going around helping people for no apparent reason. People just assume your a good person.

Nobody does something like this unless their extremely mentally ill, or have recently been in contact with certain alphabet agencies lol.

Nothing will be done about mental health though. Just a lot of talk about punishing the law abiding.

It's sad. How did a mentally unstable person become and remain a firearms instructor at a military facility? None of that will be addressed, but you can bet your sweet ass that every politician with their seat on the line will be out banging the trash can lid.

Again, it's so sad - the lives that were lost - for what? For what reason?

For whatever reason, they keep ignoring the same things over and over again. This guy has a known history of issues. If I remember correctly, most of the recent mass shooters were the same way and little to nothing was done about it.

But like what was mentioned above, people will clamor for more laws, even though the existing ones are being over looked or ignored. The people will want “something” done, never mind that it doesn’t address the core issue(s) as to why these things happened.

Until the reasons these people are doing what they are doing and the existing laws are being used like they are supposed to be, nothing is going to change.

One thing that needs to be consider among all this talk. It's very hard to actually stop someone from committing a crime without becoming a police state. Even then I have to imagine that it is really hard to tell is someone might commit a crime, you can never know exactly what someone is thinking. I'm sure there are plenty of things someone could do that would be construed as them preparing to commit a crime when they could also have a perfectly benign alternative.

For the most part we can only dissuade this with threats of punishment. If someone has mental problems that are causing them to act this way, there is little that could dissuade them if they consider the consequences irrelevant. Another shade of keeping honest people honest.

They had that press lady from the white house on the radio saying that kamala is the head of some gun violence committee, or group or whatever and kamala herself said "look what our friends in australia did for gun safety....we can make that happen here"....

Go google what australia did.

They said the quiet part out loud,

Plus politicizing everything literally 24 hrs after it happend...which isnt surprising

Got a P365 for xmas I guess its a xl which comes with two 12 round mags and it has sig night sights and that block you can take off for a reflex sight. But I will leave it alone. I got a 15 round mag for it and another 12 round took it to an indoor range which isnt really my style but it preformed well for the 100 rounds of Remington umc fmj 115gr I ran through it. Also got a new alien gear inside waist band holster. I have used alien gear for atleast a decade cant beat the warranty and they wear nicely and keep their retention.

Also you can get a 17 round mag for the 365 macro and run that in the xl

I Love my sig P238. Wife likes hers too...

Really too bad we lost them in a boating accident...

P320, P365, P238 my favorites in that order. I want a P227 hopefully I can get on surplus since the Pennsylvania state police are going to the p320/m17 so there might be a bunch in the used market.
