No way would I buy a truck that lived in the rust belt.

Finding a 4x4 might be tough down south but they exist. If you're willing to travel to Michigan for a truck, try searching the Washington/Oregon/Idaho/Montana area - lots of clean trucks out there. Colorado and Wyoming trucks usually aren't too bad either. It gets worse the further east you go.

Here in the midwest 10 years old and they start getting cancer. Not near as bad as places that use really spicy ice melt farther east but it still takes a toll.

Urban vs rural helps somewhat too. What saves the trucks out west is they rarely go to town where salt is. Counter that with gravel dust packing into crevices and holding moisture though.

Well I was going last sunday to buy a 02 2500hd 4x4 100k with the 8.1 for 7500.00 and the guy sold it after we made arrangements to get together and make the transaction. Excuse was some other guy wanted it really bad. He has every right to do what he wants. It just sucks you can't trust some people's word. I am back on the market and haven't found anything lately.

Bummer. Hate to say it but I have done that to a couple people before - I will have five people call and say they have cash and will be there at 5PM or whatever and they all flake out. So it's first come, first serve these days. I quit selling stuff on Facebook because of all the damn no shows and people that want to play 20 questions - very irritating.

There should at least a phone call to let others know that conditions have changed. For me, No one else was apparently interested, set up the meeting for Saturday, Female says "just come and get it on Saturday". Call Saturday morning to make sure it's still good. Dude answerers and said "It's Gone". They had no idea that their spouse was also trying to sell it.

Yeah it hurt. I don't always have liquid cash and when I do, the good stuff dries up and I end up taking the Kids to "Wild Adventures" theme park or do something stupid with the $$$.
