Sad to live somewhere that happens on such a regular basis that you take it for granted......

It's called living in civilization :icon_thumby:

Actually, I've lived in numerous places around the country, Cali, Texas, IL, MI, everywhere I've ever lived or visited on a regular basis pays no mind to car alarms going off.

Here in the sticks there is usually an owner not far away fumbling with his key fob trying to shut the darn thing off.

I have heard many a car alarm, never saw anybody doing anything to said car.

That's what I'm saying.. The things are just so damn sensitive, the wind blows and they go off. It's no wonder that no one pays attention to them anymore!

Alarm

I was thinking of a alarm that transmits a signal to a receiver inside my house, grab my 12ga pump and hold em for the cops.:headbang:

EVERYBODY knows the sound of a round being racked into the chamber.:D

I have a few points to add to this conversation. First, I unhooked the vibrations sensor off my explorer's aftermarket alarm and now it only goes off if someone opens the doors. Second, thieves are STUPID!!!!! I can't express that enough. This is a true story. My friend had a 1997 Saturn with an aftermarket alarm. I was at his house in my 1982 Mustang GT 5-speed 5 lug swap, etc. I parked right behind his Saturn with the windows half down and the keys in the ash tray. (I lived in the country and thats what we always did). At about 3am my friends Saturn was stolen with the Viper Alarm active and NO ONE ever looked at my mustang (and it is nice, worth 3 times what that Saturn was).
