Wow,

Granted it doesn't sound that much different than the driver alert monitor that has been in my past few ford trucks. Especially my blue cruise equipped one, but at most if you bounce against the lane departure too many times it just pops up with a cup of coffee saying break recommended, nothing like they are proposing

That being said, it has been shown that drowsy driving is as bad as drunk driving

That is fun in the Bronco.

They make a tall car. Shape it like a brick.

So when you herd it down the road with a stiff crosswind it can throw the coffee cup message at you because it thinks you are swerving because you are tired. :annoyed:

great excuse to add a cross wind detector to interact with the yaw sensor .

so, the head nod sensor, how does it handle a driver really gettin' into the music? :dntknw:

Sorry to sound like an old crank on this fine Tuesday morning, but I genuinely think Gen beta are going to grow up with no concept of what privacy, freedom and liberty actually are.

oh i agree 100%.

We're basically there now: cameras literally everywhere and crappy AI trying to figure out what you're doing and what your intentions are. I can't wrap my head around how anyone out there just accepts this stuff as "progress". Edit: oh and all the weirdos making billions selling all this info to each other.

Hold on, gotta adjust my tinfoil hat. 😜

Distracted driving?

Thats it....im finding a nice rust free 73-79 and driving it untill i croak
I have similar plans. I figure you either have to hope future tech will always come to your rescue or you better have something that can survive an EMP. No, I'm not a prepper, and yes, I do own several all-tube transceivers. 😉

Wow, that explains it! Last roll of aluminum foil I bought had little wire leads coming off every 12 inches…

Like everything, reminds me of a funny story.

Remember, I’ve thrown all kinds of wild code 3 lights and stuff on my trucks, and my other rides are two classic Lincoln Towncars and a 78 Marc V.

If I do something crazy, I don’t have to worry about them tracking me electronically. My stuff doesn’t even have drink holders or storage cubby holes. But the cameras will get me every time, they are everywhere these days, especially in the big city.

When I still worked in an office tower, and I was leaving at the end of the day, I was third in line on an entrance ramp. The gal in front went a little bit and stopped, while the guy behind her was looking to see when he could go. Popped right into the ass, not to hard, no one hurt. This paricular intersection is jammed beyond belief at 5:30 PM.

In a split second, I said to myself they’re not going to need a witness for this one, and I took that huge body on frame midnight blue 1988 Lincoln Towncar and rode up over the curb, drove around them and headed south.

Well, a week later, nearby, I got pulled over by a cop. He came up to the window and asked that was you who pulled around that accident last Friday or whatever. Being the smart ass I am, I quickly responded: No, couldn’t be me, must’ve been that other 1988 midnight Blue Lincoln Towncar!

Fortunately, the guy laughed, politely chewed me out and told me not to do something like that again. Do you think my sheriff association ID card had something to do with that?

If I ever consider doing something really bad, I’m going buy something plain Jane without any electronics a little more modern, that’s painted white with stock wheels, and leave my cell phone at home….
