Refresh my memory... I'm getting back into the 4WD club after a 13-year-hiatus... I've sorted out the PVH hubs, the infamous BROWN WIRE, and just picked up a screaming deal on a NEW, no-core-charge Dorman t-case shift motor, which has a nicely-machined mating surface that goes against the backside of Ye Olde BW-1354, but... I don't remember there being a GASKET there...?

There's no gasket residue on either the old rusted motor nor the t-case, and certainly no gasket included with new Dorman unit... do I need something there? If so, would RTV do the trick?

THANKS in advance. Vacant lots, here I come!

I've never seen one. Just the seal around the shaft.
