his is a 1st gen...???? i just sold one for to cheap... should have sold it on here for more.. lol. oh well. i'm trying to sell my fabtech bar now.. anyways..

what you got planned on the bumper? something like what i'm doing? i'm so excited mine is almost finished... i wanna go get it now! lol i'm to ADD to wait

Yes his a first gen with a 2nd gen front bumper and push gaurd. My wifes is a first gen is the reason I asked. You can tell the difference in the bumpers by looking at the ends. First gen stopped at the edge of the fender and 2nd gen wraps around the fender.

Aight guys, I have an update on some real mods, not just trying to get the thing running lol. I decided to drop my stock coil buckets 1.5". With the 1.5:1 ttb ratio i calculate it as giving me 2.25" of lift on top of the 2" worth of spacers i alread have. Im using my tuff country pivot drops and gonna be installing some camber bushings next weekend to get it to allign. I also have some shackles im gonna put on the rear.

I got the driversside complete, and although i didnt measure it it looks as if i got my 2.25"

heres the begining measurements

for some reason my camera didnt save the rest of the pics, but ill post em up tomorrow when i finish the passenger side. i ran out of light and couldnt see shit with my trouble light

well got my coil buckets finished. im now at about 4.5" in the front and 2.5 in the rear. i will be putting camber bushings in this week and getting an allignment as well as the shackles in the rear.

looks good, that's one cheap way to lift the front. :icon_thumby:

been wanting to do it for awhile, finally saif f it and got to workn on it. camber is still way off with the pivot drops eccentric bolt maxed for neg camber. now i gotta put in some camber bushings, and maybe a drop pitman

well i played around with my timing some yesterday and i set it at 8*, and messed with my idle mixture a little, and its running pretty good. no more hesitation off the clutch and i moved the advance from the manifold to the port on the carb. with the a4ld it didnt do good like that, but with the fm146 its alot better.

before, this was tapped out lol

the before pic was downhill lol, after pic was UP the same hill and still pulling. coulda gone faster but my speedo is already 3mph slow, and i didnt feel like killing anybody. both were 5th gear pulls. of course this was a proffesional driver on a closed course so dont worry:thefinger:

lol.. that 4.0 in mine will push 85 easily.. hahaha
anyways. what are these LED tail light boxes you're doing?

cage044.jpg

im doing mine identical to that. pretty much something to keep from busting out lenses, and for looks and the brightness and quickness of led's

my taillights have paint drips on them from when i painted my rig that i cant get to come off for shit, plus they are faded as hell. so im gonna work on making some tail light boxes that will mount like factory:icon_welder:

i was asking b/c i wanna replace my taillight with something.. and have thought about recessing LED's like that.. but idk if i like the look of it for my rig or not..

i like the red one for my rig, but heres some that you could paint to go along with your rig, and it would look pretty sweet

once i find a different lift gate and swap it, it'd be okay i think.. right now with my custom lift gate it'd be hard to match up right..

-and i hate the fact i'm having to change liftgates but i have to have a spare tire carrier-

when you make your metal fillers... make me a set to! lol hahaha, i'll pay ya!

i actually was gonna make a few sets and see the interest in them. gonna leave them blank so buyers can do their own holes for different lighting styles. i have access to a plasma cutting table, so once i get the measurements and fitment right i can duplicate them easily. not going to be overly thick or anything, maybe 1/8" maybe thinner. decently heavy duty but not overkill

sweet, for sure contact me with a price.. as long as they aint to much i'd like to have this option to play with.. i'm sure lots would..

i've thought about it before, i just don't have access to a way to make them other than by hand.. and i didn't think i could make the left and right match right..
