the slo-vo build thread...


4.0 the truck is really nice........ it's only flaw is that it's stock. tranny shifts perfect... 4wd works great, did a burnout and roasted both tires...... it's just "stock" if I wasn't in a hurry for a trail rig I'd spruce up the engine and sell it for a profit, but I'm not patient.

Lol, yeah, thats what I'm going to do with my neighbor's truck, buy it, sell it for 4 times what I paid for it....guy doesn't know what he's got or how to work on it, only needs an axleshaft!!

I'm not out to rook anyone, I'm happy with the truck, and the price.

The build got held off too long due to me selling my 1st b2 to help out my brother, so this is the new plan and we're not deviating. But for another 200 bucks and some time and effort, yeah....... it'd be worth some coin. But i only like buying trucks, I don't like selling them, it hurts my soul... and I've sold 3 in the last 2 weeks including my drag-camaro. I'm thinking i have enough money after budget in build to do nitrous, intercooler and turbo on one of my vehicles, just not sure which yet.

I may....... but it would be an extremely mild set-up. just 20-30hp enough for a lil extra pep and the B/A factor.

no turbo's and no nitrous on the trail rig lol.....things get complicated and get ****ed up...K.I.S.S.
 
^^^ +1 turbos get very complicated and nitrous is very sweet but bad things happen
 
i just read through the entire thread haha , Jon , that is one nice little truck ya got there , i am more of a supercab fan though. I do like the short wheelbase of yours , i have basically the exact same drive train in my 97. Hopeful;ly when i come down to go wheelin at TB you will have some more work done to her.

thanks man, trust me i wish it was ex-cab too...but it shouldnt be a DD for long and for a trailrig the short cab will be alright.

im trying to get some stuff going, money is what is holding me back...this house is dragging me down!

well this probably wont be till august , my trail rig is far from done , and my tow rig is far from done too haha , and money is always the issue
 
the story of my life lol...i would be able to get a shit ton more done if i could find me a nice DD
 
if you get a DD buy a car or something that you wont mod , trucst me , i told my self i would leave my 97 as a stock DD , yea , telling myself and stopping myself are 2 different things haha

lol...ive thought about finding a b2 frame and throwing a 4 door cab on it with a tube bed...but ill probably just stick with what i have and a tube bed unless i just happen to fall into the stuff for cheep

yea...im looking for a 93-97ish crew cab f-250/350...and diesel if i can get it...need something to haul and pull with
