I actually got some stuff done today...

spark plugs and spark plug wires...

I did the headlight restoartion, which turned out awsome...

The 3m Headlight Restoration Kit was a success, the pics dont do justice for it in real life, I recommend the kit to anyone

got my bumper on and cleaned it up...and yes, I know I need a new tailgate

had a longer autos class today, so i attempted to change the belt tensioner and FAILED hard, it is completely jacked up, so i just changed the serpintine belt by cutting off the old and stretching the new over the pulley, and i'll deal with the tensioner when i rebuild the engine

well I got good news, and I got bad news...

the good news, I ordered a almost perfect, no rust, tailgate, courtesy of APMRDAL, for $65

the bad news, got a hole in my exhaust somewhere before my muffler, I think the cat, checked it and there is no exhaust coming out of the NEW muffler it's all coming out of the leak and it sounds HORRID!!!

Is the new muffler going out to the back from a pipe anyway? Otherwise, the fumes will rust out your bed.

First off, good start on your build! Second, check your cats for sure. One could have gotten a hole in it and could also be plugged, forcing all the exhaust out the hole.

I still have to find the exhaust leak and fix it, but I thought I'd would show you guys my other project:

all it needs to get running is a new gas tank, the one on there has rust on the inside, after I get it running I'm gonna make it street legal, and get it shinney and new

Got the tailgate on Friday, it's in showroom floor condition, it just needs a good cleaning. Now that I got that, I'm gonna start to get rid of the rust on the body of the truck, cause it's all surface rust for the most part...

Still haven't found the exhaust leak but I'm gonna take the cats off and run a straight pipe back to the muffler and keep the lightning style exit, cause I dont have to take the truck into emissions anymore, hopeful that will get rid of the leak...

Got the tailgate on today! I'll post pic soon

Bought some premium mustang speakers for the rear speakers for $15, put them in and they sound better than before, not amazing, but a good deal for the price

Oh! and how could I forget...I broke the passenger side inside door latch, time for a trip to the JY, but while I'm there I'll pick up some coil spacers and 4x4 blocks...

Well, the car gods struck again, the belt tensioner that I neglected to change exploded...
So, were taking it to a shop tomorrow, to get that among other things fixed, so yeah no truck for a while...

You know man, it's up to you to decide what you want to do more of. If you do a lot of off-road driving, go off-road with it. If you don't off-road a lot, go street. It is all up to you, and if you don't like what you've built, change it. Or buy a second truck to do what you want with.

I actually got my truck earlier than I expected, I just picked it up tonight and the tensioner is fine and dandie...

But more importantly the exhaust is fixed!!!!
No more bad sounding exhaust...but since its illegal, the shop had to leave the cats on, I guess the hole was on the flange after th cats, not the cats themselves

here's a pic of the tailgate, I'll paint it sooner or later, and I've seen other people put the ranger logo on the tailgate so I slapped an extra I had on it
