The Rebuild!

After roughly 20 years of sitting, I finally reclaimed my B2 from the woods. This bad boy is the one that got me into RBV’s.

Now that I have adult money, I can build it the way I want!!

The specs….89, blue interior, 2.9 (from an 87), manual trans, D35/7.5ls with 3.73 gears, 13-50M, manual hubs.

Started life as a 2wd, and I converted it over to 4wd around 99.

Gonna rebuild it…. Have 2 spare ones for parts.

Gonna swap the frame, as this one is tweaked in the front from a previous collision.

Swapping to a 4.0…. Don’t want a 5.0, so pls leave that out of this thread.

Gonna swap in Red interior with bucket seats

Gonna paint it Cement Grey.

May be a slow(ish) build, and I welcome followers. I’m In B’ham AL, and I also welcome people to help if they’d like!!

It was…. When I pulled the trans, I laid it back under the rear axle (like always) and the tree roots claimed it as their own!

Jim, I’m slightly embarrassed of why I did it.

The 2.9 trans went out (typical M5OD problem), so I installed a 4.0 version as a stop-gap. Got an Explorer I wanted to convert to 5-speed, so I parked the B2, pulled the trans.

And I never got back to sourcing another trans for it.
