The gun thread...

Maybe you just suck as a gunner? Kidding! Seems if your weapon was zeroed at what, probably 200-400 yards, you should have been shooting well over the target at 50 yards. Doesn't make sense you were hitting low, let alone two feet low!

thanks for letting me post all this "stuff" here.....we didn't use sights in combat/most of the weapons were "passed down" to the newbies & had been fired so much (bent barrels) that sights were useless anyway...it takes about 3 times of getting ambushed while landing/taking -off to learn to "shoot from the hip".......the tracers helped a lot in low-lite conditions too....but there still were those times when I couldn't hit a "barn door"....

How many fires got started by tracers? Was it so wet and green they didn't have a chance? Seems like that would be an issue. I know it is here!

I kind of figured that would be your answer about the sights. I would think it would be pretty hard to stay behind the sights while hanging out the door like that.

How many fires got started by tracers? hmmmm....i never really noticed because of all the fires...LOLWas it so wet and green they didn't have a chance? Only during the monsoons. Seems like that would be an issue. Not in a war zone--anything that Agent Orange didn't destroy, fires helped to clear the areas (one has to learn to think differently in combat zones) I know it is here!

Basically...you don't have time to aim...unless your a sniper, aiming is for the Hollywood movies...after about a month....if you've learned to be a doorgunner....your enemy is dead before you realize what you did...one gets very very good very very fast..das a fack-Jack...

About all the pics above...........they sure don't look like they used to....is that a 6-banger she's got?!

She doesn't look the type to go shirtless with a couple belts of ammunition crossed over her shoulders like we did in the O-O-LD DAZES....LOL

we'd better get back to the gun thread....it's been f-u-u-u-u-n.....

THE LAST pic is inspiring, but she needs to get that feminine napkin outta the engine intake.........Trust me--I am a doorgunner.

Here is another angry woman in training! Or is that therapy?

BAck to Duster! Had that carbine out to the range and see if you can even hit the 100 yd target? The more I looked at those range pictures, think thats the one North of half moon lake. It is a really nice range.

I believe so. It's just north of downtown Mosinee.

I plan on heading out there again this weekend.

Each day closer to deer season, it gets more and more busy. To a point where out of about 40 benches, you still have to wait to shoot.

We got golf courses in Loozanna that don't look that good......as for the feminine napkin comment--that's as politically correct as a doorgunner can get....it could have been worse--much worse.....:icon_bounceblue:
