The Good, The Bad, and The Ugly Build

i gotta agree with the x2 above, still a wicked truck, the stakeholes look good (or rather lack there of)

just subscribed, thought about going a route very close to this with mine, really considered bomber seats in mine for more leg room, where did you get yours at and how do they fit. And more pics!!!!!

Oh and am i the only one that thinks ford courier when i see the front fender?

Pics on hold for now. Bombers give you sooo much more room, got mine on Ebay, can't remember who from.

thanks for the rep il bruto, that was the view from our camp site, between the sinclair gas station/breakfast depot and lands end during speedweek 2009! what a week!!!

how did you mount the seats. i was thinking of just hard mounting so they fit me and no one else, but it woulndt be hard to put on sliders.

being a poor college kid sucks, i might go and buy a sheet of plywood and some scrap metal and just try to make a set, looks like a pretty basic design.

Edit: just went back and noticed that the seats where all aluminum, very nice set. and whats the speedo out of cant really see it very well but i love the idea. i wanted to do the same thing but with a speedo out of a 49 ford coupe, which is what i wanted to base my build off of since 49/50 ford is and always will be my dream car.
wanted to do 49 tails with the spears on the bed sides with 49 dash swap and steering wheel and the grill out of a 49/50.

looks like a set this guy had awhile back, do they have a plywood base? and how did you mount them. i was thinking of just har mounting so they fit me and no one else, but it woulndt be hard to put on sliders.

imo, those look like poop...

if you are going to put them in, i would hard mount them... you're building a custom truck for you, not for someone else... passenger seats do not need to be adjustable, especially if you don't have a back seat! the only reason i would ever want to be able to move a passenger seat forwards and back is to be able to recline the seat slightly more, due to the back wall being farther away

Mine are indeed aluminum and they are hard mounted, like Weezl said, your custom truck is for you so ditch the sliders. I saw a guy on a rod forum use old tractor seats and just bend some sheet metal for the backs and weld them on.

im really considering getting some 18ga and going town making a seat, besides its just a reason to learn to weld again, and play with some rivets

:headbang: wow that is freekin awesome!!!! love the tail lights. and any info on the round heads:icon_idea:

grill is very cool as are tail lights
