Unfortunately, in one way or another, the state government is going to get their money, even the county and city governments.

WA is stupid how they tax the crap out of gas to pay for things. But we don't have emissions (at least where I live) or high priced licensing fees. Some states annual licensing fees are based on the value of the vehicle. Or the state income tax is ridiculously pull out of your paycheck. WA doesn't take state income tax from paychecks.

The cheapest gas in town actually went down 10 cents within the last few days... 3.89 now. All the rest of the stations in the immideate area are standing firm at 4 or 4.07.

We’ve got a major after hours project going on at work this weekend so we were cut loose for most of Friday as comp time. That finally gave me the opportunity to get things buttoned back up.

$3.59 for 87 here in Metro Detroit area. 12 miles north by work it's $4.49 for 87. All year round the gas stations by my work are always almost $1 higher because of the multiple companies with fleet vehicles. Sadly it also screws over the residents in this lower income area.

I have a feeling that it's because this particular station is just trying to get more customers.

It's a mom&pop operation.. been there forever.. but just last year a giant corpo gas station was built a mile or so up the road. Now.. I LIKE mom and pop places but... In truth.. the new corporate place IS the objectively better place to go to..
