The BIG day is at hand. VOTE!!!!

There are too many leaches now. Eventually the host will die.

One other thing. If you fear that this country is too socialized or too liberal, don't pick Canada. Mexico is much more fitting for what you seek.

And another thing. Any president we elect not the problem of this country when it comes to passing laws. It's congress. Most everything the president wants to do requires an act of congress to make happen. Congress is our problem. The president is just who we blame for the failures of congress.

And just how has that little thing known as a Congress prevent our current Communist in Chief from doing whatever he pleases? If the 70+ UNELECTED Czars that BO simply decreed into existence are not a perfect example that he doesn't care a bit about what Congress thinks, then I don't know what is. Such positions are to be created by an act of Congress.... not by a President. Yet, it's been done. And our Congress has done nothing about it. Neither has the Justice department.

And yes, I do see what you're trying to angle at - that Congress is the real problem and not El Presidante. But really, to be fair, none of the three branches of our Government are doing what they're supposed to be doing. Which is why we need to toss all of these career politicians out of office if we want to bring our Country back to the way it was founded.

I have to agree with you 100% on that. I have never seen a Government that was so stifled by infighting. They have quit governing all together and now are more likened to a three ring circus with an abundance of clowns.

As far as the electoral college... you guys should be careful what you wish for. The electoral college is hugely important for giving the smaller states and smaller population centers power. As it stands, most states with big cities go left without even trying, and I think that keeps a LOT of people in the cities out of the polls. if every vote counted? You'd see those big population centers, which are almost entirely "blue," come out in droves.

Really? How do you explain to people that their votes count, when a winner is announced before all the votes are in?

Also, explain to me how my state goes blue every year, and every year the county by county map is red except for 2 little blue dots around Erie and Pittsburgh and a blue line from Allentown to Philly.

If every vote counts.

Keep the EC just have the same number of EC votes for each state. Say every state gets 5. With say 130 electoral votes to get the win.... outcome may be different.....

and no winner take all..

You really don't understand the idea of population density?

Can I simplify it for you maybe?

Pretend there are 10 counties. In nine of them there are 100 people each. In the tenth thre are a million people. The nine small counties are blue, the big county is red. Which way do you think your state should be colored?

You guys want an election that's decided by land mass, not population.

As for your state "going blue" before all votes are counted, it's a guess / estimate by the news, not an official count. States that are close to the end don't "change color" until every vote is counted. Watching the Google map, I saw Florida change color half a dozen times last night. I'm sure if you watch Fox News, they're slower to turn a state blue, while CNN would be slower to declare a state red. The same thing would happen if it were a pure popular vote, just on a bigger scale; the whole country would turn blue if 65% of the vote was Democrat, even if only 4% of the polls were reporting. It doesn't mean your vote doesn't count, it just means it wasn't close enough for your vote to matter.

Keep in mind I'm not happy about the outcome of the election, but I'm also not a big fan of sour grapes just because the s ystem didn't go my way.

I would posit that the supreme court is doing what it's supposed to do, mostly...

NJ was the same. Only places of large pop was blue.

I think Rush Limbaugh said it best....

"It's hard to beat Santa Clause".
