Well 6.2, here is my take on it: most car/truck enthusiasts are thinkers. They carefully think the situation through before making a decision. The same can be said for most gun enthusiasts. We aren't impulse type of people, and we aren't usually a dependent people.

Unfortunately, the aforementioned individuals exist mostly in the states with the most electoral votes. And they have become so dependent on government assistance that it becomes a "what" they are voting for instead of "who".

I wish we went to the popular vote. It would make EVERY vote count. Probably get better turnout as well.

No sir. Each state gets a vote for each senator (2) and each district it has. Last I looked Romney had Obama by nearly 2 million votes total.

No, we don't 6.2. It would have been really close if we did. I was quite unhappy when we elected Obama the first time. Recently though, I was thinking the upside would be that the poor job he did as president, damaging to the country as it has been, would wake some people up. Now I don't know what to think.

Back in the day it was created, it made more sense. It helped smaller states have more weight, and was aimed to prevent a candidate from swaying the vote. Now that people can research a candidate easier, the latter seems more irrelevant. I believe it requires an amendment and support by 38 states of its ratification. It's been 8 years since I looked into it, so details might not be dead on. Adsm or DG would probably know for sure on the details of what we would need to ratify the electoral college.

Last night was one of the most depressing events I have watched in ages. I feel sorry for you guys that voted to restore our great nation. I already plan to inform both my health insurance provider and my doctors offices that I will be spending and unlimted pretax amount on medical care, not the new $2500 limit, because I refuse to recognize this foreign born as President and that Obama care does not apply to me.
