The BIG day is at hand. VOTE!!!!

Been there, done that. No lines at all where I live in the country but a real steady liine of cars coming and going. Time to go back to the other sickening ads, any medical problem you can think of.

Good point, that and the no pre-existing condition thing for insurance is what I like about Obama.

That is really the only way it could work. He couldn't force everyone to get insurance, and then allow denials.

I did not vote straight Republican. Never have. But I did on all but 2, and I personally know the 2 (one Dem, one Constitution party) I voted otherwise on.

I don't like the way the federal government is ran. I disagree that a 7.9% unemployment rate can be deemed an economic recovery. We need these individuals in jobs.

I'm leaving work early to vote. Then I think I'll go to the liquor store and buy a bottle of whiskey - just in case.

Just voted, could not believe the lines this morning, still quite a few.

biggest turnout in a long time

I am going for the WALK to my local polling place as soon as I get a shower
(I'm all covered in Coal Ash).

The meeting hall for the Gun Club is our local polling place
and I live on "Gun Club Road" and it ain't just a name:)
I'm lucky it's a short walk, only about twice as far as the walk
to my mailbox.

Then make it available for everyone but don't force everyone to get it. :icon_idea:

Rates would go up some, but I don't think as much. You can do all sorts of crazy stuff in a car and still get car insurance. I think the thing was ram rodded through before it was ready.

Wife and I went together this morning...we got new drivers licenses and voter registration cards after moving from Tx to Miss. about 2 months ago...and they didn't have us on the registered voters rolls this morning at the polling place. So we had to do it the old fashioned way...fill in the blanks on a paper ballot, mark your choices, then have the nice, gray-haired little old polling attendant validate it, put it in an envelope, seal it and drop in a ballot box. Kinda liked that part, hadn't done it that way since I was young and stupid and voted for Gus Hall...way back before most of you yung-ins was borned...and I stayed put until I saw both envelopes drop in the ballot box...I'm seriously serious this time...you can't spend your way out of a hole, which is where we need to deposit most folks in Washington, then fill it up and post guards over it.

Just curious..... have you guys had Rocky Anderson as a Presidential Candidate on your ballots? If anyone can make Obama look like a Right Wing guy.... it's Rocky Anderson.

He was the mayor of Salt Lake City a few years ago, and I thought he was about as far left as you get. He made his own party called the "Justice Party".

no, just romney, bummer and gary johnson.

jammer was on the ballot in NC for governor though

I don't remember but there were 8 options all told, kinda sad I had only heard of two... some of the others may have been better if they had more $$ to get the word out.

He sure might have been but didn't look that far. Do remember John B Anderson running in '80', mainly cuz he was from my home town. Untill he declared his positions in that election, no one knew where he stood. - didn't stand a chance. Rockford is about as right wing as they come.
