The belhousing puzzle???HELP

1994 ranger 2.3l 2wd! 1993 5.0lHO from my old stang with a T5 transmission. I have a hard time to figure how to deal with the SLAVE cylinder for the clutch. Do I absolutly have to make my own bracket or there's a belhousing that can receive the slave???? Help i'm stuck lol??? Thanks!!!
 
There are plenty of external slaves you can use on a T5. I'm sure I've seen a toyota external used in this application.

Someone on RPS posted a link, I forget the company, comes with a push slave, a bracket, all ready to go. I beleive it was about $200 for the kit.

It's really not a hard thing to make. A slave can cost as little as $15, and you can often find a free piec of scrap for the bracket.

Cool article. The only wierd thing to consider is the angle of the Ranger clutch pedal/master cylinder/firewall. Kinda limits the choices a little.
 
Teddy, you know as well as I do how many people have had trouble just using the stock Ranger master cylinder and matching up with the proper slave.

Yes. I've been posting this answer a lot lately, thought I posted it here.

FWIW, to anyone doing a 5speed...
Most aftermarket slaves are 3/4" bore.
Many Rangers have a master with a 5/8" bore. For me, this did not produce enough travel. Works for some.
I used a Master from an '89 2.8, with a 7/8" bore. works like a charm. (bought it new from NAPA) Required mods, as the pre-'95 Master bolts to the firewall, '95 and later clip to the pedal bracket. It was a simple mod, you can see pics in my build thread in the V8 section on RPS.
 
The 5/8 bore master cylinders must be on the newer gen Rangers. My 89 had a 3/4 bore and you can buy a 7/8 bore from the parts houses. I'm using the 7/8 with the McCleod hydro throwout bearing. Pedal's kinda stiff, might have done better with the 3/4 bore. And these master cylinderrs come in both aluminum and plastic construction.
