Ford CA's website is written as if it exists, but they can't locate a 2wd Ranger within 150km of Toronto. So you're saying in Canada you can't buy a 2WD 2020 Ranger?

News to me, but definitely looks to be the case.
Well order one... get exactly what you want/don't want.
Right, I was agreeing with you that there really aren't 2wd's available.Because there isn't any new 2WD Ranger.
What's involved in customs to import a US vehicle to Canada? Looks like the actual registration process isn't that involved, but a quick search didn't answer the question of customs fees.
Sort of.Yep, that too.
As far as I know, the government has never really gotten involved in the -how- of meeting fuel economy and emissions standards. Manufacturers can pretty much choose whatever equipment they want to use (or not to use) to get there. I'm honestly not sure that even the catalytic converter is required. It's just a necessity to meet the standards.
Because Canada is forcing that....There are ONLY 4x4 Rangers in Canada.
Its probably too late to order a new one from scratch. Most of what is availabe are Supercrews and loaded up. Supercabs have usually 2 options I want, with 2 -3 option I don't want.
Ordering is best route usually. Buying used is a joke through overinflated pricing. Demand must be high.

But like manual transmissions.....
