Temperature gauge

I have noticed over the past year my temperature sensor has slowly been showing a lower average from month to month and now it barely gets into the normal range. Is it the gauge or something else?

thermostat maybe? i know when mine went bad the truck never even warmed up.

maybe I think ill try that soon Ill add it to my list of things to do when i get to head back home.
