temp guague multi use???

Has anyone made a stock temp gauge do multiple different readings... Like run the trans temp, and coolant temp through a selector toggle and then to the stock temp gauge? I believe all it would take is a similar range output of sending unit to make it work. I know aftermarket gauges would be better, but trying to keep the interior looking pretty stock at the moment and just considering options.

Just a thought.

I've never heard of anyone doing that...but I've led a sheltered life...not sure if I'd want that myself knowing that one gauge is handling three or four critical items...even two critical items and a failed gauge could make life interesting...

I'd go with one of those clusters...or check out the pillar guages...I've always wanted some of those...

I have done this type of thing before with pretty good results for an auxiliary fuel tank. You just flip the switch to select the tank you want to check the level on and you can see on the stock gauge... Similar to the duel fuel tank setups.
