I really need my temp guage...
and speedometer and they both dont work...

I put the truck in gear and it flys past 85mph and stays there?

And the temp guage moves REAL slightly when warm to right under the normal line... it never goes to the middle?

Any Suggestions?

Anyone?

It drives me nuts not knowing how hot my engine is!

All I can say is to put a manual temp guage on it. As for the speedometer, I dont know other then get a new one from a junk yard or check the speedometer cable.

Ok ill look into the new ones...

Where do i check the speedometer cable?
And What are bad temps on the new temp guages i found one but its not like Hot/Cold
its in degrees?

i have an mechanical gauge in degrees F an my truck was doin the same thing where the temp gauge wouldnt move, it turned out my t stat was bad an with its fail safe it opened so fluid would just free flow throught the motor so it wouldnt over heat an therefore the gauge would stay like it was cool it never was heating up.

i bought the oem t stat for my truck an it said the normal operating temp was 190-198 dgrees F but i think your owners manual should tell u the normal operating temp of ur truck.

i Replaced the sender... going to replace the ECT tomorrow...

How would i test to see if my thermostat is working?

Remove thermostat. No more than they cost, just consider a new one. BUT, if you really want to know if it is working, put it in a pan of water and put it on the stove. It should open up before the water boils. Sit it on something so it is not directly on the bottom of the pan, so the water is more or less all around it.
