Temp Sender

There is a temp sender aleady in your manifold just behind the radiator neck. Check with your model and see if you can run without the stock unit. Some of them send a signal to the computer.

There are 2 sensors on the '97 4.0's; one you can access behind the radiator upper hose inlet and one under the upper intake plenum. The one by the upper radiator hose inlet you can take out, HOWEVER your stock gauge will NOT work. The other sensor is for the PCM; take it out and you will get a "Check Engine" light.
