I would not put Oregon on top your list, no jobs , run by libs / environazis. With the exception of ATVs on the coast dunes, offroading is frowned on by gov/ enviros. most common welcome to a potential wheeling spot here is a 12 ton boulder placed across access points. unless logging roads excite you, their are a few approved offroad areas. usually overrun with crowds. IMO Oregon is like a really hot woman.....with a horrible attitude........looks great until you get to know her.

it is nowhere near as bad as your making it out to be man. give this state credit where its due, its taking care of its shit. i moved here from san francisco....fucking san francisco! liberal queer capitol of the world. to me, this state is beautiful. open land, i CAN go offroading where i please, i DO NOT get hassled by your so called environazis, except in ashland lol...**** that place. face it. whatever this state has been doing to keep open land free from developments and basically turning into just another california, it is doing it well.

and bro, if your in such fear of liberals, i guess your best off in north pole alaska....your going to find different minded thinking people everywhere...its almost the best and worst part of living in america. the best part of it is, ive never ran into some hippie mother fucker who wanted to voice his opinion about my big tires while im running right up on his little prius...usually they get scared and take the next exit. the rebel flag on my truck catches me dirty looks, but hippies dont say shit. oregons a beautiful place man....

In Oregon you can lose your gun rights for having an argument in public. Had a yelling match with ex-wife #1 in public, got arrested and charged with Assault 4 and harassment...... she got to go home ......... I spent the night in the poke waiting for my mom to get home and bail me out. I got Assault 4 and harassment for raising my voice. I went to court ....... refused that liberal head shrinking diversion Bullshit that is meant to make you think and act like a girl and get you in touch with your "feminine side" and went to trial ....... i lost ........ Got a man Hating Fat Bull Dike Lesbian judge, and jury full of pot smoking liberal hippy throw back.........

Things might be SLIGHTLY better down there in Medford, But up here its lib HELL, I have lived here ALL of my life and can not believe what the flood tide of Cali folks have done to our state. Obviously you have a more conservative mind set....Welcome to Oregon.....We used to have the biggest wood products ind. in North Amer. here, but now the enviros have locked up our woods,trails and killed our family wage jobs. live here longer you will find out, when you find that 12 ton boulder placed across the only access to your favorite mud hole........libs in portland/eugene have all the pol. clout and will eventually lock up this state as one big " nature preserve".

it is good here in medford. its amazing. the old timers i talk to still call this the land of the lawless. you have two different extremes as far as the logging industry goes, one side, the fucking lib side, wants us to live in caves. i am no fucking lib so i do not agree with that obviously. never relate me to that. the other side, however, is pro logging industry. i believe in limits...and thats exactly what the logging industry has here. it isnt as big as it used to be, but guess what....if logging were to go unlimited there wouldnt be anymore fuckin trees. everytime i drive to the coast i see in plain site thousands of acres logged, mountains tore up. i dont want all of oregon to look like that. as far as what conservatives think, they should be traditionally for limited logging! the traditional party roots mean to conserve....use what you got. dont fuckin waste. politics today is nothing like the true bases of politics before.

and it wasnt the enviros that locked the trails, it was the forest service and blm. theyre not a bunch of fuckin whiney libs, they are a part of the government....give respect where its due, i hate them but they are also somewhat necessary. the only californians moving up here that i personally have encountered, are ones sick of california. cali has fucked politics, gov. terminator is a fucking idiot, i got out cuz i hate a thousand or more things about that state. this is a great place to live, oregon. i know i can raise a family here, without some lib dem telling me i cannot have a gun to protect my livelihood, and without some gop raising my taxes.

Recently went to the steens mountains on a hunting trip in Eastern Oregon, 500 miles from portland. Attempted to access a trail we had used for 20yrs, found road barricaded with steel and boulders and a sign that says " this wild and scenic area, preserved by the portland nature conservancy".........500 miles from portland on the backside of the moon!

I live in Huntingburg, Indiana. Nearby there is DNR land called Interlake. You can go hunting, fishing, horseback riding, and offroading. The truck or ATV has to be registered and it currently costs nothing to ride. Also nearby there is Crane Naval Base.

we pulled the baricades out of the ground, or blasted out others. we had evironazis trying to block our ranch access for years. they would cut a road down to a horse trail. we would open the road back up. finally settled on a gate with locks, all the local ranchers and law enforcement had keys...... it also severed to keep the green peace butt loving hippies out too ....... couldn't get their volkswagens back to the camping area.

I have heard a lot of bad things about the law in Oregun. And not the usual stuff you hear from people who cannot obay the law in the first place. I mean real socialist crap that a good cop would never enforce. I know there is always going to be good with the bad. But in some cases the bad can and does out weigh the good. I do not want somebody telling me I am wrong when I am not hurting anybody and just trying to enjoy my hobbies. Liberals have a dendancy to do that.

I have been to Indiana once and liked it. But I hear the cost of land and the jobs I want are not that great.

i would sugest west virginia , i live in new york , and it is not a bad state , but the taxes and traffic law suck , my dad lives in west virginia , he has 13 acres of land and his property tax is $60 a year , plus basically everyone down there modify's their truck in some way , and the roads to get across the mountains are the best , almost all the roads where my dad lives connect up to one main ''ridge road'' that runs across the mountain
