Tech II ranger

Here are a few pics that i took last fall during an uneventful hunting trip with my camera phone (so ya, bad quality). i call it the tech II ranger cause its a level II, and theres a game i play that involves flying spaceships, and there are upgraded ones called tech II, and they got extra stuff on them, like my truck

anyway, i was up hunting and found a road that had a pile of dirt on it to close it. only quads could go down it. Rangers for the win.

Sooooo, you tackled a hill that most other trucks couldn't? is that what I'm reading?
(I once drove up a hill in my BII that I could not walk up on 2 legs, I had to walk on all 4's up the hill, thats how steep it was. I was very excited to make it up!)

I hope you didn't manage to get your Ranger up onto that quad trail? People hate that. I'm not saying you tore it up or anything, but it gives people pushing for land closures that much more to complain about.

ya all the good offroad trails now quads use them and if they see trucks on them they just looooossssseeeee it on you its get anoying cuz there taking over all the places in my town so it just making me find new ones but getting tough alot of new subdivisions goin in

alright, clarification:

i go hunting way up in the middle of nowhere in the rocky mountains. The only people you see up there are oil companies, surveyors, and hunters. the road was an old gravel road that probably was used by an oil company before. its not an off road park. definatly did not tear anything up.

The pictures are me going over the mound of dirt on the road that makes it inaccessible to trucks. i went to one side, kept my left wheels on the bank, and the right wheels on the mound and was like 1 inch from bottoming out. i figure anything that was longer, wider, or lower would not have been able to get over.

i did encounter a few quaders down there, and they did give me shit. but it was because i found their secret elk hunting spot . In Alberta you are not allowed to use a quad to hunt until after noon. So this gives me a huge advantage for mornings . oh, and they don't seem to obey that rule.

I added an in-dash dvd player last weekend and tooks some pictures today. They are better quality this time

The DVD player was regular $1000, got it for $745 though.

The shifter was stock, looks bad ass though, haven't seen another like it.

aye i hear where you're coming from about the alberta quad hunting after noon bullshit. I use my 96 down these sorts of trails, mostly trails off of powerlines up here in the fort mcmurray area especially, i've never gotten any shit from quadders and i've gotten a few bucks from hunting out of my truck like this. I'm so glad i lucked in and did my FAC quickly so i could bring my 300 mag. out and hunt. To get a gun license in Canada is so anal because it takes like a year to get it lol.

Not legally...

Not sure if i'm gonna use the dvd portion much, all i can think of doing is watching something while stuck in traffic, or getting one of those dvds during christmas where its just a fireplace burning, and then i can be like "check out my indash fireplace! your civic ain't got that"

although i could park on a hill while hunting and watch a movie while waiting to see something. lol, my blind has a dvd player....

NEW PICS!

thought i'd get some pics of the full exterior, hadn't cleaned it in awhile...

The NL is for Newfoundland, which is the province i was born in. Some people think its Netherlands... alot of people have these stickers around here for different countries, so i thought i'd represent.

Finally put my cb antenna on, i bolted it onto my toolbox using the bracket that came with it (designed for a mirror)

Then i decided to get some "Off road" pictures. not as exteme as some people, but its a lease and dinner was in half an hour.

put it in 4wheel and got out no probs
