Just wondering, since I technically do have to file taxes this year for the first time, and neither of my parents are any help regarding information about every day life.
Would I be allowed to deduct the mileage that is put onto my truck via my daily commute to college? I know that people can deduct their mileage to and from work, and any mileage that is associated with work.
I should then also be able to deduct my meals at college, since workers can (according to a website I was on) deduct their lunches while at work.
Also, all of my tools/safety clothing/etc for college should be deductible as well right?
God this is all so damn confusing!
