Tailgate question

Got a brand new tailgate in the mail today from LMC. Pretty nice. However it has no guts. How the heck do I get the guts out of the old one into the new one? There ain't an access panel on it anywhere. It's a gen 1 by the way.

First you need to disconnect the linkages from the handle and remover the handle. Now take the latch loose from the side of the gate and the whole assembly should come out linkage rod and all. Then just transfer it to the new gate and you should be good.

it's the 4 bolts/screws on the inside of the tailgate on the other side from the lift handle. it's not that hard as i've done it myself. things like this just take me longer because i'm not much of a mechanic. you'll probably have it all done in an hour or so.
