the link to the site i got that pic from..

hope that helps more..:icon_thumby:

the light strip would be were the trailer lights are in that pic..

Alright, ill have to find where the other set of wires are then. I know where one set is(the end plug chopped off like i said before), but the other wires i was not able to locate as of today. ill have to look better tomorrow.

what other set? there's 1 wire loom with a connector, you unplug the connector, put the t in, plug the 2 halves of the connector into the t, so it's a T, then it's wired... if the t is already there but the trailer connector is cut off, just splice your trailer connector onto the end of the cut wires...

That's the problem, since the one end was chopped off i have to find the other end.

what end? this makes no sense... edit the picture from popular mechanics and circle or point it out...

I was only able to find the one that is circled.

and there's nothing plugged into it? no t or other wires? i would think that the passenger side lights wouldn't work if that were the case... plug a t into that and see if it works...

Nope, the end was just chopped off and hanging down. All my lights work normally...

if the connector is there you have circled that's the one i was talking about. you unplug that one and the "t" adapter with the flat plug goes between the 2 parts of "that plug circled"
your basically unplugging your factory tail lights and adding another wire harness for the trailer lights..

if anyone can help explain any better than i have please add to what I've posted

I understand perfectly, but it wasn't plugged into anything, and the end was cut off..so i have to find the other end that gets connected to it. I haven't had time lately.

Dude, if you would snap a pic really quick it would clear things up alot better...

x2 :icon_confused: as to what he's dealing with, I'm beginning to think the wires are there but the flat 4 plug is cut off which if it is it's a defendant recipe for a short, loss of tail lights or worse an electrical fire and loss of a rbv.:icon_surprised:

Ill try to remember to snap a picture tomorrow, but i don't see what's so hard to understand..the end of one of the sides is missing (cut off), and was just hanging down. I didn't really get to look at the rest yet, so i can't speak for the state of the tail light wiring.

if only one side was cut then the tail lights on that side wouldn't work..

Well then obviously the truck is rigged i guess, because all my lights work properly..
