Sway bar

My '00 Ranger had just a front swaybar from the factory. I know it limited front wheel travel, but I was happy with how the truck handled so I left it alone. Of course, I did a good bit of hauling with it. Mine did not have a factory rear swaybar and I have no intentions of using one. Handling improved by upgrading my rear leaf springs to a custom pack to handle all of the weight I often hauled, and the stiffer suspension was effective at limiting body roll. Of course, I wasn't playing NASCAR with it either. :tease:

My choptop has no sway bars. Well, the front bar is tied up out of the way but I never bothered to extend the links and connect it up. Maybe someday I'll do it with some quick disconnect setup. With 33x12.50 tires it rides ok, but when I tried putting some 31x10.50s on it, it got scary with no swaybars, I think the wider tires helped with stability on something that big.

I just hauled a fridge and washer to the dump, and had no problem with instability. The bar will stay off!
