Like the title states, a couple years ago. I swapped my 7.5 (code 86) with an 8.8 (code R7) out of an Fx4. When I did this, I also installed the Fx4 lift plates. I used my stock shocks but they are at or close to max extension when sitting normally. This causes the truck to be fairly stiff over bumps, which isnt bad. However if I go over, say, railroad tracks, the shocks will top out on the rebound and causes a pretty hard jarring.

What shocks could I run to fix this issue? Im assuming I would need a longer shock, due to essentially lifting the rear of the truck ~2". I think the Fx4s of this year came with ford-tuned bilsteins but Im not sure Id like to pay bilstein money. Any suggestions or insight is appreciated.

Rancho and skyjacker make 0-2" lift shocks.
