I did a search but didn't find a thread outlining this information.
I've done the swap on old cars but I'm not sure if it's as easy on a 2wd 2007 Ranger with a 2.3 engine.

It used to be replace:
radiator
steering column
drive shaft
transmission
flywheel
speedometer drive gear

With the newer Ranger is it still that simple?
Also, what transmissions fit?

Transmissions from another 2.3 mid-2001+ will work. You'll need a new computer and transmission wiring harness. The newer autos are completely electronically controlled.

Thank you

The manual 5 speed is fine most of the time but sometimes my left knee bothers me since I had the surgery.
It's nice to have options in case it gets worse.
Swapping the computer and adding an additional wire harness doesn't sound too hard as long as I can leave the rest of the wiring harness alone.

yeah and a floor shifter will save you from having to swap columns

Probably aftermarket as rangers haven't had floor shift auto's since the first gen rangers.
