swap a 2002 4.0l into a 1996

my freind is droping a 5.0 in his 2002 edge and he offered the 4.0L and tranny to me. I have a 96 b4000 with a 4.0L that is very tired and the tranny is toasting itself at 140k miles.

I am worried about the fit. Did the mounts change? transfer case? harnessing, I will have the 2002 computer also but is there anything that may change my mind, besides finding the time to do it?

Both are 4x4 and extended cab automatics.

I already went to a one peice drive shaft on the 96.
