Thought people might get a kick out of this. My buddy picked up a Samurai and the only modifications on it are front shackles and 29" Thornbird tires. I went with him to NJ State Inspection, only for them to throw him out because the truck was, get this, too tall.

They considered it a modified vehicle that requires specialty inspection. It's only 23" from the ground to the bottom of the door, and there's like 3 inches of sill under the door.

typical jersey inspection. throw some stock tires on it that have no mud tread and bring it back, guarantee they will pass it.
