Alright, I did just go back and see that ya'll had a donation thing goin' on, hopefully that helped out some G.I.'s, but ya gotta understand, I get a little emotional about all this shit goin' on, "over there".

There were plenty of emotions at that gathering too. Unfortunately, some people we know that wheeled with us will never be able to do that again & those that wanted to, will never get the chance. It's very sad. This is only one of the many ways I can support the troops & their family members.

It was a great run. It was a different style run from what I'm used to, but it was for a good cause and like paleblue said, it was a gesture to show the appreciation for those overseas fighting so we can enjoy the beauty of the country we live in and be free to do so.

I know for me personally I dedicated this run to my good friend and wheeling buddy LT, who is currently serving over in Korea. We did a similar run with him last summer 48 hours before he shipped out to bootcamp to a trail called Planecrash, where a T-33A went down in 65 and the crash site is still there with the debris field. It was sobering, as well as mixed emotions sending LT off like that, something I wanted us as our group from RMFTC to get together and do to send him off knowing we supported him.

As far as the trail run went last weekend, it was amazing to see the turnout as well as all those with us who are serving/have served. Lots of stories, lots of tears, lots of memories with that.
