I have the superunner steering and the skyjacker stage 2 6 in lift... did u guys put the idler arm bracket over top the stage 2 re-enforcment plate or did u remove the plate?

Remove the plate. The SJ axle bracket is already so massive, it's not really necessary. You'll need to drill one hole through on the Superlift arm bracket though (which it really should've had in the first place).

is the super stearing really worth it? or should i just use a drop pitman arm?

drop pitman arm is fine, but with the TTB you can still get bump steer....thats where the SuperRunner stearing really helps

ok thanks i had it over that plate and i didnt realy like it... Did u guys have to mod that bracket to get it installed??? On my 3.0 i had to grind the plate down to get it to clear the motor mount.

My trucks have the 4.0 and 2.9 engines, so I didn't encounter any fitment issues with the motor mounts.

As for the Superrunner steering kit vs. a drop arm... purely as a bolt-on, the Skyjacker drop arm #FA600 (only) is much better.
If you were to modify the steering kit by lowering the centerlink down where it's supposed to be (so the tierods actually line up correctly with the axle), then the steering kit will have superior performance. The steering kit modified like so also won't put as much stress on the steering box sector shaft as a longer drop arm would.

Downey,
My SL Superrunner Steering Setup was installed with the 4" SkyJacker Lift so I never found any problems from the start.
I ran it in my '88 w/5.0L and never experienced any bump steer before or after the SJ Lift kit or 5.0L was installed.
Used to be good quality and workmanship wasn't bad, everything fit as per directions.

If there was such a thing for my '03 I would buy it again, as it is I am stuck with the SL Lift Kit and hopping the quality is as good.

Luck to ya,

I will have to take a pic of the fitment with my 3.0...
Got it cut up tonight and are going to be welding it back up tomorow.. Only used one cut off wheel on my grinder....

My neighbor used to be a profesional pipe fitter and we decided to cut it off above the weld and reweld to that. Instead of grinding it down and rewelding on the tube its self..

Here is the pics of my 94 3.0 4x4 ranger with the superunner steering idler arm plate that sits under my motor mount..... I had to cut it to make it fit.

dropped down the inner tire rod mount 2 inches and the tie rods are almost level..:headbang:

That's odd this hasn't popped up before (at least I haven't see it). My motor mount is up higher on the crossmember closer to the frame rail. I do see an additional set of holes there for it though (must be the 3.0L that uses them).

This is just my luck.. I always gota be different.....Yeah talk about a total fight to get it in there.... lol... There wasnt even anything in the directions about it either. Of course i had not tightened the bolts down yet in the last pic.
