I have a 3.0 v6 146,000 miles on it runs pretty strong still. But want more power out of it obviously.

Been reading up on Superchips and KnN filters to throw on it.

With an all stock enigine putting those two things on it will I see problems later on or is there more parts I need to put on to make sure the advanced parts arent gonna blow it up?

thank you

There will be no ill side affects. Go for the superchips tune, I've heard good things. Keep your stock intake, its better than what you'll find in the aftermarket.

Is it like an easy install chip? Or will I need to take my truck somewhere and have it professionally tuned?

I doubt it well do more than maybe a little better throttle response and possibly better mileage search around I'm sure there are guys who have done it.

PS those items are not nearly enough to blow anything up. turbo or nitrous will but then you're talking proven power. An intake well only suck in as much as the engine needs, and tunes are really not gonna push it beyond specs otherwise they'd have people sueing then left and right.

What you get from SCT is a hand held programmer that just plugs into your OBD11 port. Usually comes with several tunes. Real simple to install, might take 15 mins to install tune, saves your stock tune for later.
