supercharge a 2.9?

would i need to upgrade my fuel system and ecu? if so what would be the good way to go?

Yes.

I've been running Megasquirt for about three years now, and I'm happy with it.

i knoe it sounds stupid but i want to do this ass low budget as possable.

I hate to be a naysayer, but low budget and high performance are not really compatible if you want any degree of reliabilty.

If not, just throw an FMU on it and have at it.

Unless you're a machinist and fabricator and have a stand alone computer on hand (about a grand for mine), wide band and free access to a dyno... I dont see how this will be cheap safe and reliable.

You could always run it blindy on a '90 MAF system... It wouldn't be perfect, but I'd suspect it would certainly a least run. FWIW JP3 ran a 2.9L turboed on this same setup. I ran a mid/high cam with bigger injectors (19s) on the MAF setup with an IST Air Adjuster. Ran rich at idle, but otherwise I was able to tweak it to run well at throttle (couldn't have my cake and eat it too).

I have one of these PCMs lying around actually from my last project, hunted and found a junk yard that would ship me one from SoCal. Will be for sale soon.

The last project I wanted to do is the same thing you're trying to do. I had an M90 blower, and the guy had made a mount to put the blower off to the passenger side of the motor and moved the alternator to the driver's side. This mount "funelled" the air into the stock upper plenum from the bottom of the blower. My brother has a verticle mill and I was going to have him mill a 2 piece adapter for it because I wanted it right on the engine. I have since sold all of that, did some trading (351M & C6), and just installed a mildly built 5.0L. I am kind of far from running though, engine and trans are in at least. :D Between having to find a new place to live, work, etc, I have a massive strain on progress or else this mug would probably be on the road by now. :annoyed:
