Payton is not as tough but he's slippery and he's the king of changing things around to keep you off balance.If they keep slamming in to him with no ball there's going to be serous penalties and he'll get rid of it faster plus they have 2 weeks to prepare for that tactic. Hats off to Favre at 40 damn he's tough!

two teams i like, vikings, and colts....Colts are going to pull out a close one. they need to stop bush, they hurt in the run defence.
i was pulling for the vikings, cause petterson and percy runs would just kill the colts.
bush is really the deciding factor if you ask me. if colts stop him, they win...if he goes off, then saints win.
you wont stop manning from scoring, his style is to change to what the defence gives. it works, in ANY sport.

Bush has just started getting the ball more than usual. Saints have 4 guys to run the ball, not just Bush. I hope the Saints get crushed, and if I had to pick a team that I thought could do it it would be the Colts.
People that say the Colts are undersized are living in the past. Both starting defensive tackles are 315-330#. Will and Sam linebackers are 240#. Clint Sessions breaks his helmet about every game.
Peyton Manning is tougher than anyone. It's a business decision to take a slide rather than get nailed by a 300# lineman. He is smart enough to give up on a play and not throw an interception. He's good enough at changing plays that he rarely feels any heat at all.
There is no way the Saints can win this game. The most important player on the Colts defense is Dwight Freeney. There will be no time for Brees to make those long throws. He's going to have to do the same 1-2-3-throw that everyone has to do. If he doesn't, he'll be splat. The addition of those 2 monster tackles the Colts now have, which they haven't had in years, mean that you sacrifice your tight-end or running back--or both--in pass blocking to save your quarterbacks life--there is no extra offensive guard to put on Freeney. This makes the Colts backfield better than they actually are.
The Saints are going to look good for a while, then be destroyed. In the first 2 quarters they will have shown Manning every defensive look they have. In the second half he will take them apart. It's how it has been for the last few years. Manning keeps getting better at it. We see it every week. We're numb to it. For the first half of the season we are throwing fits as team after team beat up on the Colts, only to have the Colts magically start making huge plays and the other team come apart.
I like the Saints. Who can't admire a bunch of fans who have spent 40 years rooting for a shit team? But the Colts are a machine built for eating other football teams. They have no injured key players so there is no reason they won't win.

Here is how tough Manning is. Maybe non-Colts fans didn't see this game. I'll recap. They took his head off. He said "I looked into my helment and was suprised my head wasn't still in it." Did it rattle him? No. He threw 4 touchdown passes in the next 10 minutes of playing time.
Root for the Saints, certainly. But bet your money on the Colts.
