super cheap gas

I spent this weekend fixing 2 lawnmowers and 2 quads. All 4 needed the carbs torn apart and cleaned. I told the owner to stop leaving gas in them over the winter and STOP USING E10! What that crap does to carburetors is criminal.

I've been told to use premium in mine. I was told that three and a half years ago, now.

Premium still has ethanol in it in most states. Its not the octane thats a problem its the dumb alcohol that eats things. Doesn't hurt modern fuel systems but carbs were never made to handle it.

Most people don’t even change the oil in their Briggs let alone upgrade to fuel injection...

$1.37 locally here, $1.19 10 miles up the road in the city. Non ethanol 87 is $1.44. When I first got my drivers license back in 2004, gas was $3.24 a gallon.

1.27-1.39 here. Thinkin bout puttin more miles on the ol 460 at these prices.

As far as carbs and E10...my issue is ethanol has been around how many years? Yet small engine makers wont put ethanol safe carbs on...
