Back from Page 5!!

Got a frame rail mocked up. Lifted my drivetrain in to make sure I would have a flat bottom. Cut lots of floor out, more going eventually.

Decided to put a rockslider/boatside on.

Going to be building the frame in the next week or 2, that way I can get the drivetrain in and mounted before the snow flies.

Got 3 pieces of 1 frame rail cut out. Also got the slider tacked in for temp. Try to get a couple pics tomorrow, gotta clean up a bit to do some maintance on moms jeep.

All the rails are mostly welded together. Going to separate them tomorrow, then fish plate the welds. Hope to get it under the truck next weekend, heading to Canton to Dropt and Destroyed this weekend with Zman.

All made from 2"x6" .120" tubing with .135" fish plates

Looks like fun, I am doing a lot of the same things to my FSB. What is the advantage in shaving the 205?

It gives me the ability to mount my seat lower. The bottom of my frame is 6" below my floor, that makes things tight quick.

that bandsaw prolly came in really handy!

subscribed. really lookin into ditchin my truck and building somthing that is capable of wheelin the whole family

More progress. Got all the rails together. All 16 fish plates welded in and got the frame to come out within 1/8" of being straight due to warpage on the sides. Got the temporary crossmembers in and set under the body tonite.
