ok, i know the STX's had larger stock tires... does anyone know what the size of the stock tires were? my truck is an XLT and my door says that my stock tires are 235's... i remember seeing an add for a 94 STX that says that they had larger off road tires... i dont remember it saying the size... im just wondering if anyone knows the size... thanks...

I think 235s were the biggest tires ever put on Rangers from the factory.

ok... weird, they just look so much bigger than mine... mine are the 235's...

Though the level II rangers came with 31s?

I believe in the mid 90s you could get an STX with 265/75R15 tires.

EDIT: Ford service manual for 1996 Ranger lists 265/75R15 as an option.

Always noticed that when reading the manual for my 95. Got me daydreaming about my dream truck. 3rd gen regular cab stx short bed, 4.0, manual everything, 4.10 gears. It's gotta be out there?

My 97 came from the factory with 265/75R15 tires and a 2inch lift. It is not an STX tho

Just Google it, Bro. Edmund's has a complete history on the Ranger. Google your year STX specs and see what tire size your Ranger originally came with.

Yes the mid 90's STX's and B4000's had a 265/75r15 option. It's in my door as 235's or 265's
