stx or xlt

this is probly a stuiped qustion but what is the difrance betwean a stx 4x4 and regular xlt 4x4 and what one is beter

All STX's had a complete skid plate package on them where the XLT's didn't. The STX's were Fords "off-road" Rangers.

XLT's have skid plates over the tank, and the transfer case. Everything else is still protected, just above the frame rails and braces.

can the skid plats on the stx bolt on to the xlt or will there have be be holse to drilled

They are all bolt on.

they should already be there. i have had several xlt 4x4's and the skid plates were the same as my stx
