alright dont flame me for asking this as it might be a stupid question. is there any reason you couldnt put a slight bend in a tie rod being the tie rod is aftermarket, heims on the ends and made of 1 1/4 dom. im trying to get a better angle on the heims. i have high steer but stock pitman arm. even if i had the extreme drop it would still be pretty close to maxing the heims out. anyways if i put the bends into the tube is it going to greatly compromise the strength of the tube?

heres a crude pic of what im thinking.....

stupid question about steering

if you wedge it just right it could bend or even brake. at least that is what the guy from extreme 4x4 said one time

alright then it isnt worth it to mess with it. ill find some spacers for cheap and try them out.

thank you

"The shortest distance between two points is a straight line, even if it's not straight".

That would have no ill effects on steering, as long as the strength isn't compromised.

Any bends will weaken it to some degree.
How much lift do you have on that thing to where you're still having an issue with hi-steer on it??

this isnt the most current pic obviously but its all i have at the moment.

stupid question about steering

i ordered some different spacers yesterday and i will try that with a straight tie rod before i go bending something up.

thanks
