Stupid plan, mental help required.

No worries, I'm impressed you spent that much time on a reply.

I would've gotten a beer and forgot what I was doing right around the 10 minute mark. :icon_cheers:

I was just excited that I found an opportunity to use something that I learned that is actually useful for a change.

I'm the same way.

My ex-girlfriend HATED it.

Wow in the time it took me to type that like five other guys replied, and one with a really good explanation, sorry for my long mathy one.

haha i've read worse than that. believe me, my step-brother sounded like a damn computer. it made me mad.

my knowledge isn't much worth sharing, i'm a well of useless knowledge that comes in handy at the wierdest times haha

hahaha yeah, those qualities that us guys love about ourselves are not the type of quality the nutless gender likes. ask my old lady. i'm in the doghouse tonight for attempting to trade my CR250R for two TT125s in better than sh*t shape haha they run great, and he wants a nbig bike, i'm a little guy, 250 is huge, makes sense to me to get two bikes that're worth as much as my bike each and sell one and make some money, but i'm a guy, what do i know about money and motor-vehicles........ evil woman she is.....

The chips don't work too well on our trucks. Ford engineered the intakes and computers systems pretty thoroughly to make them run as well as they could. Heck, even K&N's don't work on them. The 2.3L uses the same intake as the big 4.0L so breathing is not an issue for that motor. A basic full maintenance will get you lots of power back out of your truck.

I have lernned a great deal of info & appreciate all the time the collige guys spent typing all that stuff.....

Wait.....let me go back to the 1st post....i forgot what the question was....

I'm back.....SO--NATER.....what gear ratio does your vehicle have--so he can go up a gear-ratio & be able to use 5th gear without boggin the engine down pulling/carrying a load?

i think he said something like 4.56. may be wrong though.... i dunno, but i knwo i want to go with 5.23's. and i just realized today that the wife and i have serious issues about me and my truck vs. her and the baby. so sadly guys i'm putting the project on hold for a while. maybe a month or two, and if it snows possible more... sad day for me but hey, in my mind family comes first. everything else is just stuff.

DG-Gear ratio is stock 3.73 for me. As I said, 5th is useless, but if he bumps up to say 4.30 he should be able to use 5th without bogging. If he wants to pull a load, I would say at least 4.56s....But just as a daily driver if he already has 35s, I would say he should be ok with stock rear end...
