2.5L ('98-'01) Stuck engine RPMs until dead stop - gone fishing

The throttle linkage will have an anti-diesel screw, looks like an idle screw but fuel injected engines can't use an idle screw because there are no idler Jets, lol

Anyway, after engine is fully warmed up, and IAC Valve unplugged, you can adjust this screw to open throttle plate a bit more to get a stable warm idle, 750-800 maybe with a 4cyl
This will throw off the TPS voltage but thats just a CEL code won't effect main operation of this sensor

You would still need to use gas pedal to keep cold engine running until coolant is above 150degF or so
And IAC Valve was opened all the way on Start up at any temp, so push down on gas pedal a bit on startup to let in a bit more air

Bookmarked. Megasquirt hates ford IACs. This is a lot better than messing with one for hours.

Woah, just checked out your build thread - incredible, thanks for showing up on my dumpy thread, I'm a big fan of Group B as well - glad to learn a little more about the 2.9L V6.

You might try a 3rd party IAC valve, one of the reasons the 3rd party do not work well with Ford computers is that they are hybrid Stepper/solenoid electric valves
Motorcraft and Hitachi IAC's work with Ford because they are solenoid only

Stepper type were more comon so Megasquirt may like those better, but just guessing no data on that
