Hey guys

Thing #1:
Recently -Nathan- and his buddy regeared my rear end from 3.73 to 4.56. Which I love! Noticeable improvement. Too bad my tranny kinda got screwed over from too long with 33's and 3.73's. Anyways the gears got broken in and I put in a locker...:headbang:...so I was under my truck doing that stuff and I noticed this:

Now heres the facts:

-I didn't put it there haha
-I haven't been to any parties since the regear
-Nathan and his buddy have been the only people under my truck besides me in the past while
-It stayed on there for around 300km's of bumpy Saskatchewan roads!
-its not quite in the exact position I found it in...but you get the picture. It was just balanced up there in my front axle

So...just thought I would share that. Made me laugh  haha

Thing #2

While I had my diff all apart I was spinning the axles and stuff and my passenger side axle spun freely but the drivers side wasn't that good. It would spin freely for awhile then bind up, or you would have to spin it backwards. Weird things like that. Also when I went for a test drive after I put in my locker the odd time I could hear a bad scrapping kinda noise which I was HOPING AND PRAYING was nothing to do with my locker or rear end. It was kinda on and off. I couldn't hear it all the time. Also it didn't sound rotational really so I think it is good. I didn't notice it ever before but also I have loud exhaust and usually am playing music when I drive. This current time I had windows down, music off, fan off...about as quiet as I could get as I was listening for locker noises. So back drivers side brake is screwed. I am clueless about brakes...what do I gotta replace in the back so it doesn't drag? (also if its not dragging I'll get better gas mileage :icon_thumby: ) If you guys need pics or something I can take stuff apart and get them if that will help. Thanks!

Thing #3:

Check out my new (temporary) mod. A select few people will enjoy this haha. I FOUND this flag on the side of the road and decided to take good use of it :derisive:

Its hard to hold the flag out and take pics but you get the idea

Haha, no the bottle was empty...label was pretty beat up too from the road abuse

Look slike it was left under hood and got knocked off during the work lol. As far as the scarping its time for new brake shoes. It will mess with the wheel rotation just like that.

It got windy while I was working so you guys get a bonus pic (with our buffalo on the Saskatchewan Prairie :icon_thumby: )

And alrighty sweet...I'll put a new shoe (shoes? How many do I need per side on the back)

Also...brake* not break...in the title

pilsner rocks.....a good off road beer.

What kind of Pils was that? Beeing a beer-a-holic, I always like to find a new one. Crazy though that the bottle didn't break.

LOL! I have been to the Pilzner brewery in Czech. Awsome beer.

nice find under your truck!

flag = nice touch

Haha guess I gotta take responsibility for the left behind eh :D had to leave him something to remember me by :P

You evil man. At least he didn't post up about some weird, high-pitched knocking/clanking noise coming from under his truck.

Hahaha yeah...at least theres no unusual noises from the diff...I think :) haha. I'm just surprised it stayed there for that many km's. Also it couldn't have been resting on the hood...the only work -Nathan- did was on the diff...well...I guess they might've popped the hood? Overall the whole situation made me laugh

Just tell the parts store you need rear brakes for your model year truck, You need to specify 9 or 10 inch brakes, most likely 10 since your 4x4. It will come with two shoes for each side. You can also get a brake repair kit which will come with all new springs, and its only like 7 bux. A big investement if your rear brakes have never ben touched before.
