what was the last year that ford used straight axles under the 4x4 rangers and 4x4 f150?

Ford NEVER put a straight axle under a Ford Ranger, that something that you have to make work on your own.

Yep no ranger solid axles... unless you are talking about the ranger package F150's of the 70's?

Maybe the question was in regard to TTB axles, which is really just a straight axle built into two sections.
If this is the case, it was 1997 with the Dana35.
For the F-150, '79 was the last year for a straight beam axle. '80-'96 was TTB (both these were Dana44s), then for '97 they went to A-arm IFS (with an 8.8" differential).

In that case all rangers and f150s still have and always have had straight axles lol
