I have a '92 that I have to replace the front shocks on. My truck leans to the front pretty bad after all these years, and I'm wondering if a new set of springs would help level things out? Do they develop a 'sag' after a while? I don't want to get too involved with lifting or anything, so I'm hoping that a new set of springs would raise the front a little. Any thoughts? Thanks!

you can get 1 1/2" to 2" lift coils or get explorer coils for a small amount of lift.if you replace the coils you should get the alignment checked though.most of these trucks came from the factory lower in the front so its hard to say if its sagged or not

There is a chance they are sagged. I'd grab a pair if you think that's what it is. They can be had for $80 a set in the MooG brand. Also, how do your body mounts look like? They could be smashed and make it look like it's leaning.

yeah. That's what happened to my truck. I thought at first it was the coil springs because it was sagging to the left. Well turned out my body mount is smashed. Btw is there anywhere I can order just one?

Body mounts are all good, I spent ages under there on the weekend. Do these things start to sag after a while? If I get explorer springs will stock replacement shocks be too short? Thanks.

They shouldn't be, if anything get exploder shocks.

Coil springs normally sag very little over time. If they're badly rusted though, then it's possible for more sag to occur.

No, shocks aren't needed if you're replacing the coils with ones from another RBV application (Explorer, etc).
