stock rims polished

I have the stock aluminum rims on my 92' and I heard they turn out mint if you use aircraft stripper to take off the clearcoat then polish them. I would like to do this then buy new center caps from ford. I was wondering if anyone else has tryed this and if it takes away the corrosion from wheel weights.

The stripper does not take off the corosion, you will have to sand the area before you polish it to get rid of the dark spots
