Stiletto/butterfly knives

I have a bunch of knives, including switchblades. Of them all, what usually ends up in my pockets are a left and right hand Spyderco Military. The left hand model has G-10 handles, the right either is a blacked out model or a titanium handle model. The pic below is of a Military I picked up in 1996 when the model first came out. The other two are the left hand and blacked out models I picked up in 2012. I picked up the titanium handle version in 2018. I'll get a pcik later and post it.

I've been interested in knives since I was a little kid in the Cub Scouts. These are my Go-to favorites. Love the blade shape and it's angle to the handle. The left hand version can be difficult to obtain. Spyderco makes them from time-to-time, but it's not a regular production knife.

Truthfully, the name Stiletto is a blade shape. When you think of the classic switchblade, as popularized by Mobsters back in the day, it was a side opening switchblade with a stiletto blade. A stiletto blade can be used on all different types of knives, even fixed blades. Out-The-fronts are just that, an opening mechanism. The type where the blade can be pushed out the front, then retracted, by the same switch, is called a Double-Action-Out-The-Front.

The two switchblades that I usually end up carrying, if not carrying the ones posted above, are both made by Pro Tech. A left handed TR-3 and a right handed TR-4. Both all black.

I will throw CRKT out there as a fairly inexpensive and reliable knife company. I've had a few of their "M16" knife, with some regular maintenance and sharpening they have never given me any issues.

I’ve got a nice Bradley Mayhem first production I’ll give you a good deal on...

I too first started knife admiration around 6 years old or so. Knives and flashlights. Havnt grown out of it, probably won't til I'm dead.

That IS nice, probably out of my price range though.

Honestly the Gerber covert auto has my eye pretty well.

It's the automatic cousin of the knife I got wrongly arrested for having when I was 18. Cops can be assholes when you find them sleeping in their cruiser 🤷‍♀️

The problem is that it multiplies your cool factor by 0...
you didn't have a switchcomb when you were younger...

Sad.

we still like you.

Your proper spelling of bat'leth impresses me sir. Qapla'!

The rest of your statement is nonsense....
