Steering wheel swap

The cruise buttons on my 2002 ranger have dried out and torn. Can I replace the whole thing with a 2007 steering wheel and airbag?

if the connectors are the same,(probably they are cuz only changes are visual) i would say yes. check them first, and wait for some more experienced advice too lol

Why not just replace the buttons? I've got that problem on my 98 and just picked up a great looking used set from eBay for $20 shipped. New is, I think, about 60. Not sure if yours are the same but I'd look into it unless you have another reason for going to all the work of swapping wheels.

You got me on the right track. I found a complete new set of switches only costs $71.50. A lot easier to install even though I'd like a new wheel the old one is in bad shape. I have a wheel cover on it and it works fine. New cover is only about $20.

Same here...but how do you remove the airbag without giving yourself sudden explosion?

I want to swap out my stock steering wheel for a aftermarket one cuz I don't need the cruise control anymore with the v8 swap & tranny swap. What do you reckonmeand a 3 spook or a 4 spook from summit racing or from LMC truck with a ford cover horn. Any help will be great.
