Anyone have a good source for a steel supplier in IL?

Or, a good online source if their shipping isn't to ridiculous.

Looking to build my sliders and rear bumper. :icon_welder:

Thanks

you might try DK four wheel in moline or R&J fabrication in galesburg. R&J is a race car builder.

Depending on what part of IL you're in try Horn Steel in Geneva or Best Welding in Rochelle. Horn cost a little more but theres no cut off charge for peices under 20'. Both will order anything you need if they don't have it in stock.

Thanks, will look into them. And I found a steel center in DeKalb about 1/2 mile from me... and for 15 years I lived here, I thought they were just a recycling center. Doh!

Just to keep this thread alive, cause its good info to know where steel suppliers are all over the state.

I go to Bobby Co. in Princeton, just off Rt 6.
